Head of Production.
Salary £35,000 per annum
The Role:
The role is part of a company who are autonomous, tenacious and results driven, and you must be able to operate within this extremely varied environment to support the company Founder & Directors. Head of Operations will encompass across a variety of responsibilities including NPD, Purchasing, Procurement, Planning, Stock Control & Production and thus, you must be an all-rounder, you must bring tenacity, energy, enthusiasm and have the autonomy to take ownership of your role and the operational function and engage a gear change to help the business and individual to succeed whilst being proud of your achievements. You will have the opportunity to make this role your own, whilst growing & building a team. Responsibilities are but not limited to:
• Supplier relationship building & management
• Responsible for creating and managing master data on bulk, dry and finished goods to the highest standard
• Responsible for the production and reporting of all direct material purchase orders
• Organise and optimise production runs with bottlers with a hands-on approach where necessary
• Organise procurement of all materials to technical specifications and within industry guidelines
• Develop and deliver appropriate new materials as necessary to optimal price / delivery / quality as required
• Management of full stock systems in real time, including assemblies, movements, transfers & reconciliations.
Skills required:
• A strong technical knowledge of Production & Procurement processes
• Have the autonomy and adaptability to work within an ever-changing environment whilst taking full ownership of your role with minimum supervision and control of many processes
• Strong communication & organisational skills are a must
• A good understanding of business principles and practices
• Energy & enthusiasm to embrace all challenges
• Knowledge of the whisky industry is an advantage
